Hardware

Welcome to the Hardware section 🙂

Here we have some bike porn of the highest order. Between us we have more bikes than we’d like to admit so for now we’ve picked a few of our favourites, listed the spec and tried to explain what makes each bike a bit special.

Enjoy.

Coming Soon
  • Ritch’s 2014 YT Wicked Pro 650B Enduro
  • Ross’s 2000 Leeson Clear 660 Trials
  • Rocket’s 2015 Commencal Meta 650B Enduro
  • Rocket’s 2014 Tues Comp DH
Ritch’s 2014 Tues Pro DH

The Tues Pro is my favourite bike in the stable. The thing is an absolute animal! You don’t have to think with this bike, you just let it go fast and loose. The huge Marzocchi travel is super plush. At times this things feels like a mini crosser – just love it. Brakes are immense with loads of feel. I worked quite hard to dial in the suspension, Marzocchi is super adjustable with high speed / low speed compression damping along with high speed / low speed rebound damping. Now the whole bike feels agile but planted, couldn’t be happier with the handling.

The only negatives about the bike is the drivetrain. The bike cost around £3200 so with nearly 2k worth of suspension and other top end components you cant expect it to be perfect. The only thing I don’t like about the bike is the rear hub and general drivetrain feel. The hub is almost silent and a bit vague, the drivetrain feels a bit labored and laggy. I’ll soon be upgrading to a Hope Pro 4 and new high end BB bearings so looking forward to seeing the results! I sometimes look at 650B DH boys and wonder whether I’m losing out, but to be honest I think the difference will be negligible so not overly worried.
